Life Lessons...

We decided to take some of our profits from our recent sales (Waldorf Faire & Custom Orders) and purchase some toys for the children of the Maui Homeless Shelter.  Little Miss G & I worked late Tuesday night and after our Costco run decided to swing by K-Mart to purchase the toys we had alloted money for.  I thought it was going to be quick, with me mostly deciding what we were getting.  I was really surprised how enthusiastic G was about picking the toys.  She picked things out, put things back, looked them over, asked me over & over if we had the equal amount of boys vs girls toys.  It was really special to watch her being so compassionate.  I don't think she quite understands what it is to be homeless, we have talked about it, but of course children are so innocent...  She told me that we should find homeless mom's & dad's and we can match them up with homeless kid's, then buy them a house and they can work for us and then it's all going to be better.  If only things were that simple.  One thing I truly hope I can give my children is the love of giving & sharing.  Once we had our arms full of toys & clothes, she saw this one larger doll. She was so torn on what she should put back.  I told her we would purchase the doll in addition.  She was so happy, she said she wished she could be there Christmas morning and see which little girl received the doll.  I told her her love would always be with that little girl.  Thank you to everyone who purchased from us this past month, you had a part in the happiness that we are passing along :).

So we had our photo shoot the other day and we're getting ready to launch our new online boutique girls clothing website very soon!!  We wanted to give just a little sneak peek into what's in store, and also give a shout out to Duck Soup in Kahului for lending us some of their beautiful items from Bali for our shoot.  Isn't that bench beautiful!  Just wait until you see what else they lent us...

Stay tuned as we share more cuteness and launch our new online store!  More to come soon.
